League Format Variations
Head-to-Head Points
In this format, your team competes against another manager’s team each week. The team that scores more fantasy points wins the matchup. Season standings are determined by win-loss record.
Head-to-Head Categories
Similar to H2H Points, but teams compete in individual statistical categories. Each category counts as a win, loss, or tie for the week.
Rotisserie (Roto)
Teams are ranked in each statistical category for the entire season. Points are awarded based on rankings, with the highest-ranked team receiving the most points in each category.
Daily Fantasy
Build a new team each day within a salary cap. Points are accumulated based on single-day performances, and contests are settled the same day.
Scoring Strategy Tips
Understanding the scoring system is key to building an effective fantasy basketball team. Here are some tips:
- Value All-Around Players: Players who contribute in multiple categories provide more consistent value.
- Consider Efficiency: Players with high shooting percentages avoid the penalties for missed shots.
- Target Double-Double Threats: Players who regularly achieve double-doubles earn significant bonus points.
- Minimize Turnovers: Turnovers subtract points, so value players who protect the ball.
- Analyze Point-Per-Minute Value: Some players produce significant stats in limited minutes.
